Bristol’s a competitive city when it comes to being creative and the street food scene is no different. Here’s the inside scoop on what we’re looking for in an application.

CONTENT IS KEY

Engage with the application and tell us what makes your food streets ahead of the others. We want to hear your story, your vision and all the little details you care about. One word answers don’t cut the mustard.

PROVENANCE AND PACKAGING.

Street food that’s out of this world and doesn’t harm the planet. Local means: small scale suppliers, independent business, ethical sourcing, free-range, organic and reduce air miles. Local doesn’t mean your local supermarket.

READY TO HIT THE STREETS

If your business isn’t ready to go, don’t apply just yet. Spaces are in demand and we need to see that your application is complete and ready to rumble.  We want to see high-res pictures of a professional set up. No garden gazebos, flimsy frontages or wonky menu boards.

MAKE SURE TO VISIT THE MARKET FIRST

Be sure to come and see our markets before you apply. You’ll get a good understanding of the vibe, location, standards and the traders are mostly happy to answer any questions you might have about getting started.

STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS CAN BE TOUGH

If you have a load of questions or need help getting your business idea over the line, keep an eye out for our trader workshops in 2019. You’ll be able to find more details on what’s happening and how to sign up in News.

FEEs

Pitch fees vary across our events – with the Harbourside Market rate set at £42 per day (a 3kW electricity hook-up costs £5).
