BRISTOL LIGHT FESTIVAL 2025

LET THERE BE LIGHT

We are super excited about this one! Bristol Light Festival is a beacon of hope (and light) in what’s traditionally the quietest time of the year for city centre businesses. Across 10 days from January 31st, the festival brings in over 250,000 visitors – mainly locals and families – to see world class installations from artists across the globe, dotted around our city.

Now in its 5th year, the BLF have asked Buoy to deliver a street food lineup to help feed the crowds.

We think this is a great opportunity to showcase Bristol’s brightest street food traders and we now plan to go all out by creating three mini-markets on the festival map.

The areas are now confirmed as Queen Square, where thousands of visitors queue (often up to an hour) for BLF’s famous SWINGS, alongside an installation in Quakers Friars, Cabot Circus and our regular spot at Harbourside Market (subject to site permissions and street trading consent)

Each location will be furnished with covered seating, festoons and heaters.

EVENT DETAILS

• Applications close on January 10th. We’ll begin confirming bookings towards January 10th and issue confirmation invoices shortly after. We are looking to hear from street food, sweet treat hot drinks traders (non-alcohol) to compliment the local business’s offerings.

• To minimise initial outlay and risk for traders, the event will operate with a static pitch fee (see below for individual day fees) + 10% commission on gross turnover. More information can be found in our terms and conditions, here.

• Trading hours are 5pm-10.00pm. Electric is available and overnight storage is available but limited, and fees may vary at different locations.
